Felice Ross
Felice Ross was born and studied lighting design in the USA. She now lives in Israel. She has designed the lighting for many theatre, opera and dance productions as well as art installations in Europe, Israel, Korea and the USA, including The Seagull (Chekhov), Pygmalion (Shaw), Dangerous Liaisons (Laclos), A Servant for Two Masters (Goldoni), The Good Soldier Schweik (Hašek), The Blood Knot (Fugard), Festen (Vinterberg) in Israel; Cleansed and 4.48 Psychosis (Kane), The Tempest and Richard II (Shakespeare), The Bachae (Euripides), Krum (Levin), The Dybbuk (Ansky and Krall), Angels in America (Kushner), (A)pollonia, Koniec, and Opowieści afrykańskie według Szekspira (Warlikowski) for various companies in Poland; as well as Proust’s In Search of Lost Time (Schauspiel Bonn), Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Nice), Brecht’s In the Jungle of Cities (Schaubuhne Berlin), Bovell’s Speaking in Tongues and Mishima’s Madame de Sade (Toneelgroep Amsterdam), Shakespeare’s Macbeth (Schauspielhaus Hanover), The Bachae and Labiche’s L’Affaire de la rue de Lourcine (Poreia Theatre Athens), Williams’s A Streetcar Named Desire (Teatre Odeon Paris).
She has designed lighting for the most prestigious venues globally: Israeli Opera in Tel Aviv (Rossini’s Le Barbier de Séville, Menotti’s The Medium, Tchaikovsky’s Onegin, Verdi’s La traviata, Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore); Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera (Verdi’s Otello and Don Carlo, Tchaikovsky’s Onegin and The Queen of Spades, Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Penderecki’s Ubu Rex, Berg’s Wozzeck, Moniuszko’s Halka, Wagner’s The Flying Dutchman); Washington National Opera (Giordan’s Andrea Chenier); Poznań Opera House (Mozart’s Così fan tutte); Roma Musical Theatre; Warsaw (Polanski’s Dance of the Vampires); La Monnaie in Brussels (Cherubini’s Medee, Verdi’s Macbeth, Berg’s Lulu); Bayerische Staatsoper (R.
